K-Cups can be expensive, so I&#8217;ve come up with a few tricks to get more use out of them. To save money, I often use the smallest cup setting and use the same K-Cup twice. All you have to do is open and close the K-Cup loading lid and it will think you put a new K-Cup in. The smallest setting fills a standard coffee cup about 3\/4 full. The second cup is going to be weaker. But if you buy medium or dark roast, its not too bad. You can always add a half tea spoon of instant coffee, if you want it a little stronger. They do make re-usable K-Cups that let you add your own coffee. But they can be messy and don&#8217;t seem to work as well as the K-Cups you buy at the store. They also sell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0081N3YW4\/ref=emc_b_5_i\">disposable cups<\/a> ($14.95 for 50 on Amazon) that you fill and cap yourself. I haven&#8217;t tried these, but they look like they might work. I usually only drink 1 cup in the morning and leave the K-Cup in the machine for the next day. I wouldn&#8217;t recommend leaving a used K-Cup in the machine for longer than that. After the second use, it goes in the trash. I drink instant coffee from time to time. But, I find that it doesn&#8217;t taste as good as when brewed in the Keurig. This, like some of my other tips, may sound ultra-cheap, but to others who are like minded about pinching pennies, it will save a few bucks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Keurig coffee machine is similar to the one I have.
